Recovery

One holiday down and one to go! :) Hope everyone had a great Turkey Day.  So glad our road trip is over! Laundry and dishes are done, and the Christmas tree is up!! So far so Good!

So, today my DD moved into the next class at the church daycare she attends. This is great really. She is ready, and I think we are getting nearer to potty training. Yippee!!!  I'm really not sure what to even do there!! The whole idea frightens me!! :) I've become so used to cloth diapering, that panties scare me! LOL I really hope this will be relatively painless....but I'm not holding my breath about anything!

I must say, that when I started CD'ing, it was extremely overwhelming! I had nightmarish visions of my younger brother, the babysitter, and ME washing them out in the toilet.  I knew it was the most cost effective, was better for her, but I just did not want to do it the old-school way!  I did a LOT of research online, and after much thought and reading tons of reviews, we settled on gDiapers for daytime and BumGenious 3.0 one-size for nights.  They have both worked out extremely well for us, and will be used again if we are blessed enough to have another.

There is so much info online now, and so many options available. I'm trying to compile all of the pages I visited and gleaned information from and will post them. :)

Thanksgiving is upon us!

Oh the holidays. I love seeing family, but we always travel, and I'm more tired when I get home than when I left. LOL But at least we have a good time.  Hope that everyone that is traveling next week does so safely.

It is always a circus for us, as I'm sure it is with most families...especially young ones.  Who knew that there was so much that was needed when you travel with a toddler!! :) And I thought just taking the dog was bad.  This year we are taking both!!  I need a mojito just thinking about it. ;0)

Really?

Wow....I really stink at this blogging thing. :) I started this blog as a way to vent some of my frustrations with being a new mom/new SAHM, but I can't keep up with that even. Shocking! I know! :) My goal here is to put down some of the issues we deal with everyday raising our DD, plus random other topics as well - we cloth diaper (CD), I knit, crochet, sew, cook, etc.

My DD is now 1 1/2 yrs old, and a loving, sweet, adorable....terror!! She is truly wonderful, into everything, and says nothing that I can understand.....well, at least when she wants something.  At the moment, I'm trying to keep up with her, deal with the dog, clean the house, and knit/crochet 10 million projects.  So far, she is content to destroy the house, the dog is outside, part of the house is clean, and one project is finished. Yeah!! LOL
